Philadelphia – Legendary Philadelphia newsman and author Larry Kane takes on the subject of “Legalizing Marijuana” this week on his cable talk show The Voice of Reason.
The program airs for the first time Sunday November 8th at 9:30PM on The Comcast Network, Channel 8 or HD Channel 201.
Guests on the topic included: Ken Coluzzi the Police Chief of Upper Makefield, Mark Wallen MD from Livingrin Addictions Center and local marijuana reform advocate Chris Goldstein.
Goldstein serves as the Executive Director of NORML-NJ and media coordinator for PhillyNORML, the local chapters of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws.
The lively discussion covered the medical marijuana legislation in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The guests were asked to weigh in on the recent Department of Justice memo regarding medical cannabis. Host Larry Kane, whose most recent book focused on Beatle John Lennon, was keen to explore the topic of overall marijuana prohibition.
The Voice of Reason 30-minute program on marijuana will re-air at 5:30PM on Wednesday November 11, 2009. The show will also be served as an audio podcast on the website of KYW1060 Newsradio throughout the week.
Both local NORML Chapters are working on some exciting projects including campus lectures, legal forums and medical marijuana advocacy. The chapters hold public meetings regularly. NORML-NJ and PhillyNORML are committed to representing the cannabis consumers of the Delaware Valley while changing the senseless and destructive policy of marijuana prohibition.

Former Philadelphia Eagles, Jon Runyan, a Mount Laurel resident, could become the Republican candidate to take on U.S. Rep. John Adler (D-Cherry Hill) in next year’s election. GOD help America and New Jersey! I just saw the debate between Runyan -vs- Adler and could believe that Runyan made it out of high school! He sound like a pure idiot on justabout all the issue! He is another Joe Six Pack! He can fix America by limited government! The idiot said take government out of military decision! The idiot does not know that it’s the government that make the decision to go to WAR! Another Republican idiot to be voted into NJ politic! The Governor of NJ just showed New Jersey how to lose 400 million dollars and blame President Obama for his administration and his mistake! Larry Kane is a piss poor interviewer that should retire and let someone who is more professional and instead of given his opinion JUST ASKED THE QUESTION! He could had challenge Runyan but today white pundits and talk show host want the hate and divide pure stupid theme to continue against the President and anything that he is trying to fix! President Obama is blame for everything the Republican mess up when in power! To think just because Runyan was a football player he now think he can be in politic with NO experience! He sounds like a idiot his diction is horrible but the white Americans are destroying the country! He just another stupid Republican with two working brain cell SOMETIMES! Sarah Palin and John McCain was a shameful team! Runyan sounds just as STUPID!
A WAR FOR NOTHING
As a former Marine I was totally outrage at the coverage of the ending of the Iraq War by the white control media! It wasn’t long ago that the public could turn on the news and hear “our troops ” our American hero” ! Then President Obama came into office and the military achievements are off the news map. The Afghanistan War is criticize by the top general and the white control media reports on how there is no corporation with the President of Afghanistan and the United States! The war in Afghanistan is going badly the war is going badly is repeated over and over by the white control media! Then it’s the war in Iraq that the white control media continue to play up the surge even after Bush/ Cheney is out of office! The world now knows that there would had not been a need for a surge if President Bush had just half a brain! There was no WOMD ( Weapon of Mass Destruction) therefore no need to attack Iraq no need for the Iraq War! But getting back to my outrage! 4,300 plus American troop DEAD nearly 100,000 wounded another 45% suffer from mental illness! 33% divorcing 41% can’t find employment and 12% losing their homes! All for a war that Bush/ Cheney started with no plan and no proper armor! But the white control media both liberal and conservative gave the men and women hardly no coverage on their return from Iraq. But when Tiger Woods held a press conference the media cut into programs to hear all the details! SHAME ON US ALL! Men and women of all race and religion fought and died for you! And the white control media allowed politic and hate and divide to disrespect America and the troops! The collective mentality to demonize and belittle anything and everything that President Obama attempts to do is obvious and shameful! Blaming President Obama for the mess that Bush/ Cheney did is outrageous! President has done more then many Presidents before him. But it is played down by the white control media! And the white Republican negative spend is picked up and repeated over and over! I for one am sick of Republicans telling me what most Americans think and believe! Negative polls that nobody knows who participates in are quoted over and over by the white control media! When President Bush was in office there where polls that said the Iraq war was WRONG! The Republican Party could careless and continue the war! So they don’t care what the public said. It’s about POWER! The first black President is held to a different standard then the past 43 white Presidents!
